ABSL students lend a hand at Wingfield Pines Conservation Area
April 10, 2014 - Dr. Nancy Trun's ABSL students partnered with fellow Duquesne University students to sample and study the water quality of the Wingfield Pines Conservation Area. The land, which is now owned by the Allegheny Land Trust (ALT), is undergoing remediation from acid mine drainage.
ABSL students combined community service with scientific study to contribute up-to-date information about this regional showcase for floodplain rehabilitation.
